Our Story

Sawgrass Untied isn’t just another service—it’s a mission born from the heart of a mom and pediatric dentist who wanted to help families right here in her own community.
As a mother, Dr. Ryan knows the worry that keeps parents awake at night. She’s cared for her own children through feeding struggles, developmental milestones, and all the emotional highs and lows of parenting. And as a pediatric dentist, she’s spent years helping families navigate the stress and confusion that can come with tongue and lip ties.
But there was one problem:
No one in the Carolina Forest or Myrtle Beach area was offering advanced, gentle laser treatment for tongue and lip ties.
Families were forced to drive hours away—or worse, they didn’t even realize treatment was an option. Babies struggled with feeding. Toddlers battled speech delays. Parents felt helpless and alone.

Families Needed Local Help — So We Stepped Up.
Over the years, Dr. Ryan began seeing the same pattern:
-
Babies who couldn’t latch well while nursing
-
Exhausted moms worried about weight gain and pain
-
Toddlers struggling to pronounce words clearly
-
Children avoiding certain textures because eating was hard
Again and again, parents would say:
“I wish someone could help us without driving all the way to Charleston or Columbia.”
Dr. Ryan realized that local families deserved better. That’s why she created Sawgrass Untied—a dedicated division of Sawgrass Pediatric Dentistry offering:
-
Precise, gentle laser tongue and lip tie releases
-
Comprehensive guidance and support before and after treatment
-
A compassionate, family-focused approach that makes parents feel heard and understood
And all of it, right here at home.

The Only Local Provider of Laser Treatment
Today, Dr. Ryan is proud to be the only provider in the Carolina Forest and Myrtle Beach area offering advanced laser treatment for tongue and lip ties.
Her gentle technique means:
-
Less discomfort for babies and kids
-
Faster healing with minimal bleeding
-
No stitches required in most cases
-
A procedure that’s often completed in just minutes
Many babies can nurse immediately after treatment, and older children often see quick improvements in speech and eating. Families no longer have to leave their community to get world-class care.
